A close reading of the laminated-timber market around Moscow: which firms are worth a call, which of them any independent source has actually looked at, and what the people who hired them say afterwards.
Glulam has become the default premium wall around Moscow. Buyers no longer ask whether a company can mill engineered timber — they assume it can — and instead ask who will coordinate design, foundation, kit, assembly and engineering without three separate contracts, and who will still pick up the phone when a post compensator needs a turn after the first heating season. Komsomolskaya Pravda’s Moscow selection2 is material-agnostic and includes Good Wood, Holz House, DDM Stroy, Honka and Russky Zapad.
